-Karthid-

Karthid did not sleep. He wanted to look out the windows but that would mean releasing their embrace. Such a thing seemed criminal, downright going against the natural order of all things. He would hold her for a little longer, at least. Knowing where they were, and when they would arrive at their destination, was important though.

He held the beautiful Earth woman in his strong arms. She was so slight in comparison to his own massive form, but the curves and womanly figure she possessed left him perpetually taken aback. And the bond he could feel emanating from her was something else entirely. He had hoped since reaching adulthood that he might one day find his true mate, perhaps have a chance to meet her and spend time with her. Being so close to one's own true mate was the stuff of myth. And that is exactly what Karthid had managed to do. He could only imagine how intense this must feel to Talia.

She stirred in her sleep as the wagon was brought over a series of bumps. They were out of the desert now. "Sleep, gorgeous creature," he softly whispered. There was no reason why they should both be alert for whatever might be coming when that prison wagon's door opened. He would protect her from all harm until he was killed or at least physically restrained, so she did not need to worry.

Against every part of his being, Karthid carefully moved his arm out from under her and left the naked woman sleeping. He looked through one of the crude holes that served as a ventilation window in the prison wagon. They had just passed through the gates of a city. It was a primitive looking place, although there were high walls of solid stone that would keep out would-be invaders. He could see that they did not possess a high level of technology. And if they did have any, it wasn't abundant in the streets.

People went about their business, hauling goods by beast or in hand-drawn carts. There was a quiet dignity about it all, as though they were in the middle of some sacred ritual. But they were just doing the things that common people did, talking, crafting, buying, selling.

"Talia," he said.

"Huh? What's wrong? Wait, where am I?" She sat up and her breasts jiggled delightfully as she did so, then she looked around and sighed. "Oh, right."

Karthid was speechless for a moment as he looked at her naked form in motion. His penis began to stiffen instantly at the sight of those perfectly pink nipples glimmering in the light that cascaded in through the holes in the wagon.

Talia grinned. "Someone's certainly happy about all this. Too bad we don't have time for a quickie. Do we?"

"Of course we do," said Karthid, moving toward her and taking a knee before her. "Wait, no," he said sadly, "I think that whatever arena event you heard our captors speak of, the people of this city have already commenced participation in some way.
